How to restore a previous version of a folder or file

Follow

A feature of the Cloud Networks Environment, specifically with regards to the Cloud Desktop is file history - we have enabled the ability for you to restore previous versions of a file or a folder that is stored on your personal drive or company shared drive.

This can be incredibly useful if a file/folder is moved, deleted, changed and you want to go back to early that morning or even 3 days ago.

Check out the two guides below:

How to restore a previous version of a file:

  1. Open the folder which contains the current version of the file you want to restore.

  4. In the File versions section, select the version of the file you wish to restore.Double clicking on the file will open up the document in its associated program, in this case Microsoft Word. It will not overwrite the latest version of the document so you can compare the “old” version of the document with the version you’re working on at the moment.
  5. Clicking Open at the bottom of the dialog will do the same.
